Dan and Betsy's wedding at the Castle at Ashley Manor April 23, 2010

We  awoke to beautiful white, fluffy clouds this morning.  A great backdrop for the striking Castle at Ashely Manor.  In fact though it had rained the day before, this was a bright sunny day.  While I was setting up for outdoor photos the piped music played "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles.   Yes it was a perfect day!  Dan and Betsy opted for a morning wedding.  So the light was the opposite of what we are used to at the Castle so this was fun for us to use the back more then the front for photos.  Dan and Betsy had a small, intimate wedding, then headed to an offsite reception.  Before leaving we did a few more photos (with their crazy friends) then around the grounds.  Dan's little niece wanted to stay with them - and joined in for a cute bw infrared photo.  See covered her eyes while they kissed - we love the photo -so cute.  Congrats to Dan and Betsy!

Chris and Shelly's Engagement Session at Papago Park

Chris and Shelly had set aside a day to do their engagement photos in which they could also get their kids together.  When the day arrived it was windy and raining.  They decided to go forward with the session since this was one of their only opportunties to do a family photo as well.  So we met them at Papago Park and dodged rain drops to do these photos.  There were a couple of times we had to wait in our cars for the rain to let up.   Here are some of the images from the day.  Chris and Shelly used the final sunset photo for their sign in frame for the wedding so it all worked out!

Isaac and Lauren's Wedding at Grayhawk Golf Club April 17, 2010

Isaac and Lauren had been planning their wedding for over a year - all while Isaac, a marine, was stationed out of the country.  Once they were secure with their date working out with the military  the planning began in earnest.  Finally the big day arrived and it was so perfect!  Even though Isaac is a tough marine, he sent a touching note to his bride while she was preparing for the wedding, then once the processional began Isaac was all smiles till he caught a glimpse of his beautiful bride on daddy's arm.  Then the tears began - it was so touching and so cute!  After their ceremony, a few hors d'oeuvres, and a few photos they were announced into the gorgeous Grayhawk ballroom for their first dance.  Notice the cake - it was baked with love for the couple by Isaac's grandmother.  During the evening some of Lauren's friends serenaded the couple.  Then after alot of dancing (the dance floor was packed and stayed that way thanks to Ray the DJ), Isaac and Lauren exited via sparklers to their wating limo.  Congrats to Lauren and Isaac!

 

 

 

Matt and Brenna's Engagement Photos ASU Campus

Matt and Brenna had scheduled these photos for a rare day in which they both could get over to ASU together with their hectic schedules in mind.  Well wouldn't you know it the weather started getting grey, then it started getting windy.  Phone calls were made back and forth trying to decide if we should attempt the photos that day.  The decision was made that it was a "go".  We met at the ASU campus and found a few buildings to act as wind blocks.  And then - the wind died down somewhat!  And then we discovered a really cool bougainvilla bush... so everything worked out fine and Matt and Brenna were glad that they went forward with the photos.  Here are a few:

 

Blair and Nikki's Maternity Session

Blair and Nikki are eagerly awaiting the arrival of little Zoe in May.  In the meantime they decided to have some photos done featuring little Zoe as a baby bump!  We are looking forward to meeting little Zoe for her newborn photos soon.

 

Gabriel and Anastasia's Wedding at the Castle at Ashley Manor April 12, 2010

Gabriel and Anastasia's big day started off with Gabe arriving with their two dogs, Godiva and Tuki Tuki.  Meanwhile, as Anastasia got ready a gift from Gabe was delivered to her - a beautiful bracelet, which she quickly put on and wore the rest of the day.  After a beautiful ceremony, some photos (of course!), and a fun reception Gabe and Anastasia left by decorated car.   (Their wedding party couldn't resist).  Congrats to Gabe and Anastacia!
