We met up with Chris and Callie at Scottsdale Civic Center for their engagement photos. They are big Denver Broncos fans so they brought some jerseys along for the photos as well. They are such a cute couple - we look forward to their wedding this fall!
Kate worked at the Arizona Grand while she was in college and thought that it would be a great site for their engagement photos. We agreed and met them there for some fun photos. We quickly found out that Arthur is a real joker, but Kate was able to keep him under control pretty well :) I had to put in one of his impromptu photos (Arthur and Kate you can see the rest on your online proofs)! We are looking forward to their upcoming wedding.
Brian and Rona often hike at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. They knew how beautiful it was for desert scenes so they asked if we would meet them there for their engagment photos. Brian's kids also came along so that they could do some family photos as well. They were right about this being a perfect site. Just about sunset Jeff noticed a great horned owl off in the distance on a saguaro. You don't see that every day. We tried to get closer so that Rona and Brian could have him in their photos, but he decided he didn't want to pose and flew away!
I keep telling myself that I need to select less photos for the blog since it is so time consuming to keep up. But every wedding there are so many photos that I love that I can't select just a few. So here we go again with alot of photos. I thought this one of Carey arriving in her limo was cute. A bride with her whole wedding day ahead of her. After their wedding mass we stayed at the church for a few altar photos. We do so many outdoor weddings that I thought I would post a pretty chuch formal photo. We had wanted to get a photo with the bride and groom and the children in the wedding, but the kids had different plans. They didn't want to leave their mamas! We stopped at a second location on the way to the resort with Aron, Carey and their wedding party. Then on to the Fiesta Resort (look how gorgeous their room was). We found out once the party started that Aron can dance! The DJ even put him through some funny moves at garter removal time. Aron had to dance till Carey approved. We ended the night with a few romantic photos. Congrats to Aron and Carey!

We had so much fun with Dana and Adam in Tucson doing their engagement photos that we were really looking forward to their wedding. We started out with some photos of just the bride and groom, then we all walked over to a new area to take photos with the wedding party. This is when the excitement really began. As you know when the weather starts to warm up in the Arizona desert rattlesnakes like to come out and lay on rocks. Well there was one close to the area we had scouted for photos. We made so much noise that we scared the guy and he slithered off into the desert. After all that excitement, once we finished photos, Dana and Adam went in for the signing of their Ketubah. Their ceremony went off beautifully (Troon North is a great setting), and ended with the traditional breaking of the glass. We used some of the nearby boulders for a few more photos before the happy bride and groom went into their gorgeous ballroom and went right into the hora. After dinner Adam and Dana shared a romantic first dance. Later in the evening Dana and some of her cheer friends from UofA did a cheer. The reception was so non stop we had a hard time finding a little break to do a night light shot, but we managed! Congrats to Dana and Adam!

Chad and Mary are such a fun, laid back couple. We also found out that Mary takes after her family. When they asked if they could jump for their family photo we said sure go ahead! Mary never stops smiling - she is really that happy. During the ceremony she couldn't stop laughing, and Chad was beaming with happiness as well. After the wedding we did a few more photos - one featured Chad's beer bottle. Jeff figured he would like that one better then the photo featuring the bride's bouquet. After stopping for a photo with the beautiful sunset, Chad and Mary joined their guests on the patio of Ashley Manor for an evening of dinner and dancing. Congrats to Chad and Mary!

Jeff and I have been going out to the Riparian Center in Gilbert to take photos of the birds. So when Darwin and Vicky suggested this a site for their engagement photos we thought it was a great idea. The only thing is I have to keep Jeff under control so that he doesn't divert into taking wildlife photos instead of engagement photos :) Once he sees a bird in perfect light, on a nest, in a tree.... I have to snap him out of it! There are many walking trails all with beautiful scenes. While walking with Darwin and Vicky we came upon a momma goose with her babies. They were so cute a fluffy.
